Page Rank is a metrics for calculating worth of a web page and Google assigns numeric value 1 to 10 (it is just like casting vote in a ballot). Page Rank is link analysis algorithm devised by Google, it is trademark of Google and patent of Stanford University. If a web page links to another web page that is if a website place on its site link of another website means, it casts vote for a web page, more number of websites links to another website its gets more vote and Google calculates number of links and quality of those links before assigning page rank to a website.
Page rank helps to calculate individual page's value; it goes like a link from web page A to web page B is a vote by A for B.
